Dockleaf Developments is delighted to be building 4 stunning houses and renovating a beautiful old cottage at Lower Chesters, Chollerford. The site is close to the banks of the North Tyne at the gateway to Hadrian’s Wall country, and is 300 metres west of The George Hotel and the Chollerford Bridge.

The village of Humshaugh is ˝ mile away to the East and has a shop, school, pub, doctors surgery, church, cricket club and a busy village hall. Hexham is a 10 minute drive away (5 miles). Immediately to the West is Chesters Roman Fort, and the grand country house and associated former stable block at Chesters.

For those that want to live in amazing countryside yet remain quicky accessible via main roads to all local centres, then this exclusive development at Lower Chesters will rank highly against any other options, and buyers are encouraged to make contact.

Dockleaf Developments has designed five amazing family homes, which will be built to the same exacting standards upon which Dockleaf has built its reputation.

Externally, the houses will be predominantly stone under slate rooves, with some areas of timber cladding, and contemporary touches such as the pressed metal bay windows. Dockleaf believes strongly in maintaining aesthetic standards, so that the houses are very pleasing to the eye. All external corners will have natural stone quoins, gutter lines and verges are tidy, avoiding the need for bulky and unattractive soffits, windows and doors are high quality, aluminium clad giving long and low maintenance ownership. The overall impact is a mix of traditional and contemporary, well designed, well thought out, built to the highest standards, with practical family living in mind.

Internally the kitchens and utilities will be made by Alexander Carrick of Corbridge, a high end bespoke kitchen manufacturer. Bathrooms are all very generously appointed, beautifully tiled and coordinated, with lighting and clever niches. Bedrooms are spacious with master suites and guest suites having en suites and walk in wardrobes.

The gardens will include patios linking the breakfast rooms to the gardens, and good sized lawns, with planted borders. From the rear of the houses, there are tremendous relaxing views across the open fields.

"The build quality of the house is superb and we particularly love the light, airy spaces created by the excellent design, along with the high standard of craftsmanship throughout."
