About Dockleaf
Dockleaf Developments has evolved over the last 9 years into a developer and house builder of bespoke detached homes, operating at the higher end of the market.
The business is owned and run by Tim and Sally Anderson, who personally project manage and deliver all aspects of the process, from site acquisition to completion of the house and then completion of the sale.
Dockleaf Developments is a NHBC registered developer and house builder, which gives buyers the benefit of a 10 year NHBC warranty.
Each house is unique, designed by Nicholson Nairn architects, based on a brief provided by Dockleaf. The houses must be aesthetically pleasing, with plenty of architectural feature evident on the outside, and generous, contemporary and flowing spaces inside.
The tradesmen that Dockleaf uses are all familiar with the high quality demanded by Dockleaf. Most have worked on a number of projects for Dockleaf over the past few years, and their experience is vital in ensuring that the end product meets expectations.
An increasingly important aspect of house building is energy conservation, and Dockleaf prides itself on being one of the very few that can hand on heart say it is going well beyond what is required in order to meet current building regulation standards of energy efficiency. Plenty of house builders pretend that they are paying for energy efficiency measures, but few actually spend money and invest in designing in full house energy efficiency systems. The key element that Dockleaf is incorporating is ground source heat pumps in place of conventional boilers, which mean that energy running costs are significantly lower. A ground source heat pump uses heat from under the ground to help to heat the house, by means of a heat exchange process.
